The Swedish American Chamber of Commerce in San Diego is a non-profit organization with the goal to promote, develop, and increase the Swedish–American contacts and interactions in the greater San Diego area. We aim to facilitate mutually beneficial relationships between Swedish and American companies.
In our quest to promote Sweden in the San Diego area, we arrange a variety of events each year. We provide our members and guests the opportunity to network among several prominent Swedish–American businesses and their leaders.

Hosting a Trainee Offers Many Opportunities

The trainee program offers member companies and organizations the opportunity to host highly qualified, mature, bilingual trainees. With a minimum age of 21, some of the trainee candidates may still be students while many already earned their Bachelor’s / Master’s degrees or have extensive experience and specialized skills in their field.
The trainees will bring a Swedish and European Union perspective to your operation. An international perspective and an understanding of cultural differences are vital in today’s global economy. In addition to Swedish and English, many trainees possess good knowledge of one or several other languages. Language skills are invaluable when it is necessary to communicate effectively across borders such as when finalizing a sale or during technology transfer.
